Certification is the process by which a third party — in this case KQC — attests that your organisation conforms to a specific standard (for example, ISO 9001:2015). Accreditation is the process by which an authoritative body — the IAS — provides formal recognition that KQC is competent to carry out certification. In short: we certify you; IAS accredits us.
ISO/IEC 17021-1:2015 is the international standard that sets the requirements for bodies providing audit and certification of management systems. It covers principles such as impartiality, competence, responsibility and confidentiality. KQC operates in full compliance with this standard, and IAS verifies that compliance as part of our accreditation.
The IAF MLA is an agreement among accreditation bodies worldwide that mutually recognise each other's accreditations. Because IAS is a signatory to the IAF MLA for management systems, certificates issued by KQC are accepted as equivalent to those issued by accredited certification bodies anywhere else in the MLA network — supporting international trade and market access.
