What we deliberately do not offer.
To protect the integrity of our accreditation and the certifications we issue, KQC does not offer consultancy services, bespoke training services, or pre-certification gap-analysis services.
Accredited certification bodies increasingly face scrutiny over pre-certification activity, which can overstep the consultancy threshold and compromise impartiality. A rigorous Stage 1 audit provides equivalent insight, without that risk.
If you require consultancy or training, we will gladly refer you to a range of independent specialists with whom we have no commercial relationship.
A predictable, evidence-based path to certification.
Our process mirrors the requirements of ISO/IEC 17021-1:2015. From application to certificate, every stage is defined, documented and transparent.
-
01Start
Enquiry, Application & quotation
After your initial enquiry, we ask you to submit an application. We assess scope, complexity and competence requirements, then issue a transparent, fixed-fee quotation, covering the audit programme required, for the full three-year Certification cycle.
-
02Weeks 1–2
Contract & planning
Once the quotation is agreed, we appoint a competent audit team matched to your sector and issue a transparent audit plan for your review.
-
03Weeks 3–6
Initial Certification — Stage 1 audit
A readiness review of your documented management system, audit planning, and evaluation of the conditions needed for a successful Stage 2.
-
04Weeks 6–12
Initial Certification — Stage 2 audit
On-site evaluation of the implementation and effectiveness of your management system against the requirements of the applicable Standard(s).
-
05Weeks 12–14
Certification decision
An internal decision-maker — someone who was not part of the audit team — reviews the audit outcomes and, where appropriate, grants certification for a three-year cycle.
-
06Year 1 onwards
Surveillance & recertification
Surveillance activities, including annual surveillance audits, maintain your certification between cycles. A recertification audit renews certification every three years, based on objective audit evidence assessed — not paperwork.
Request a no-pressure quotation.
Tell us about your organisation and the certification you need. We'll respond with a clear, transparent fee estimate and proposed audit programme plan within five working days.
